Ok, here we go:

The MV-Vocoder has two inputs, the modulator and the carrier input.

For example, if you like to make a synth talk you voice would be the modualtor whcih modulates the carrier(the synth).

In the following example we modulate a sustaining sound(carrier) with a drumloop(modulator)

1. Route the MFX to AUX1
2. create a audiotrack which is routed to AUX1 and panned hard left (modulator)
3. Place a Drumloop on that created channel
4. create a audiotrack which is routed to AUX1 and panned hard right (carrier)
5. Place a sustaining sound on that created channel

voilâ :) thats it.

For your convenience, I have created a tutorial project with that two channels.
You can get it here:

Hello and Thank you,

I migrated to another webspace provider, looks like that I missed moving all files.

Now it should work again. If you have any question of any kind or sort, you are welcome.

Thanks

Ya know in all of this time I have never actually read this thread.

I typically just put a mic in R and a synth on L then just "play 'n talk.

Ansolas that is some pretty nifty routing !

I actually output 1 track to my v-synth XT re-route it back in and record the effect after manipulation.

Or a TC Helicon Voiceworks rack or Antares ATR-1 or AVP-1 rack. It's actually quite funny to mess with this, but it won't make you able to sing.

I know it's an old thread, but I am wondering... do you use midi data inside the MV to control a (auto tuner) or vocoder FX in your v-synth XT with that??

Wow
I use too use midi for timing, pitch bend expression you know so on & so forth but,Mic Gee$ & I swapped gear.
if my memory serves me correctly I'd of course use midi, MV AS MASTER ,REROUTED SOUND GENERATED FROM V-SYNTH BACK INTO MV:SAMPLED . I had other gear such as my motif daisy chained(midi) into v-synth also to create patches, arpeggios it was a seemingly simple yet complex setup because if you didn't know (midi) you suffered it worked out for what I used it for of course but it's cumbersome . The V-SYNTH XT is not for the novice you can get lost in its parameters with the turn of a knob.It took SEVERAL YEARS JUST TO GRASP THE SAMPLING ASPECTS Now that she's gone I've forgotten some of her intricate functions"I USED TO LOVE HER".
