Creating a full instrument from one sample

Postby the_orakel on Tue Feb 16, 2010 11:26 pm

I'm still pretty new to sampling/producing so this may be a pretty elementary question, but hopefully someone can help me.

Is there a simple way to take one sample (ie. a single bass note) and turn this into a full patch instrument with a different tone on each pad? I recently got a midi controller and I'd like to take some single-samples I have, like a xylophone hit or a bell chime and spread it across the keys to be able to play them as a full instrument. Can this be done with the MV or external software easily, or will it take me having to copy/paste and edit the tone on every pad?

If you haven't already, download all the workshop books.
