Did you actually buy it? As the website from the people that actually make these DVDs only has the MV-8000 one.

http://www.proaudiodvds.com/SearchResul ... Search.y=0

If you search for MV 8800 you won't find a DVD there.

full on professional productions?

that must mean that if i watch this DVD i automatically get paid. it should have said "professional-quality". i'm being picky. I'm just tired of advertisements with more exclamation than truth

It's a bit fishy anyways, as it doesn't have the same picture on it as the DVD from proaudiodvds.com...

Yeah, it's pretty tempting to go for those two dvds, but I'm not buying anything until I can see a small sample of it.

The proaudiodvd dvd has a sample on youtube, which is pretty good. Also, the guy knows his sht as he has been working in the industry for years and years, even with people like Michael Jackson and so on.

Sup Nation.

This is my first reply to anything here so bear with me. I work alot so I don't have much time to use my MV-8800. I purchased the MV-8000 DVD tutorial and it helped me get a better understanding of how to do certain things. I noticed in a Sweetwater advertisement that there was a DVD tutorial for the MV-8800 so, of course I ordered it! But what I recieved was the same DVD that I had already owned!!! I called Sweetwater and they said that there was a mistake made when taking the orders from Roland and there is no DVD manual for the 8800 and that there would most likely not be one!!

So, for those who want the 8800 DVD manual, Roland does not make one.

Peace

I take it the same is true for the ProAudioDvds.com DVD... there probably is no 8800 version.

Yo, just got mine in the mail. Same damn sh^t. This is the 10 minute Turbo Start that came w/ my MV. I'm sending this back to Sweetwater. The have since pulled the webpage housing this item, but I swear it didn't describe what I received. I waited almost 3 weeks for them to ship it too. Pretty whack.

I'm slow learning the MV, I got nobody but me figuring it out. I was semi-excited when I saw the 8800 DVD "manual" and thought for $20 it might cover a lot of what I know I'm missing. It didn't even ship w/ a cover or DVD case. It was in a CD sleeve w/ a dymo labeler sticker product description. I know some of you questioned the pic of the 8000, but I didn't even get that much!

That's crazy man... Better go with the proaudiodvd one of the MV-8000 then if you want something at least useful.

I just bought the Sample Kings DVDs. Have only watched part of the first one but it sure is taking them a long time to get to anything useful. The most inexplicable thing they have done so far is showing the various inputs and outputs and putting the cables into them and then taking them out. A little too basic.

I am hoping later in pt 1 and in pt 2 they start showing me how to do significant things.

Just ordered the DVD manual. I hope that one is good. Need to watch some of the stuff on youtube.

Which DVD manual? The ProAudio one? Most DVDs don't show anything really useful, although the ProAudio does cover the basics of the 8000 pretty good.. all others though, not worth the money.
